DRB 1836

Specifically designed to test the resistance to deformation of a frame’s bridge according to EN 1836 and ISO 12311 standards.

Technical features

  • Frame constructed from black anodized aluminium.

  • Vertical guide columns (20 mm and 14 mm diameter) with a height-adjustable holder.

  • Glass lens clamping system equipped with a 16 mm diameter pneumatic micro-cylinder (15 mm stroke).

  • Pressure regulator with an integrated dial pressure gauge to adjust the lens clamping force.

  • Upper and lower mechanical stops to limit total frame deformation.

  • Spectacle/eyewear holder with adjustable inclination.

  • Deformation values measured via a high-precision digital caliper.

  • Pneumatically controlled weight descent with adjustable speed control.

  • Integrated micrometer to measure the exact distance between the lens and the pressure peg.

  • Control box with Up/Down buttons commanding the solenoid valve that actuates the cylinder and pressure peg.

  • Process timer for load duration selection; the pressure peg automatically returns to its home position after the cycle.

  • Overall dimensions (L × W × H): 250 × 270 × 765 mm. Weight: 8 kg.
